OUR TEAM
Since graduating from the Occupational Therapy program at the University of Alberta, I have devoted my career to supporting children and families in Edmonton and surrounding areas. I have experience working with both early learning and school aged populations. In light of the devastating cuts to education, I have left the school district, and am now seeking new and innovative ways to continue providing services to families. I am thrilled for the opportunity to join forces with some brilliant speech language pathologists, to continue advocating for early education, and supporting families.
I believe every child deserves access to early intervention, and it is my mission to build new and accessible means to provide these opportunities. My passion includes the areas of regulation, social emotional development, sensory processing, and feeding. Outside my professional interests, you can find me at the dog park, reading a good book, or spending time with friends and family! I look forward to working alongside you, your child, and the St. Albert community.
As a Speech-Language Pathologist for the past 9 years and mom of three (very different) young kiddos, one universal truth that has always rang true to me while working with kids and their families is that people may forget what you said, they may forget what you did, but they will always remember how you made them feel (Maya Angelou - what a beautiful, beautiful spirit). In this field, there is nothing more that I enjoy than getting down to a child’s level and making connections with their mind! I appreciate the differences and whims that add to a child’s uniqueness. And if there’s one thing my kiddos have taught me is that if I’m not leading with love and having fun, then they want nothing to do with me. I hold fast to the lessons they have taught me as a parent.
What else about me?
People who know me well would probably nod in agreement to the following claims: I love playing sports - especially volleyball! I love music and dancing. Yummy food is near and dear to my heart (more so the eating than the cooking). Reading! I cannot get enough! And lastly but most importantly, I adore being around my family and friends. Laughter rings true every time.
That’s it! That’s me, Natalie, in a nutshell! Looking forward to working with you and your little ones ♥️
